Do you have a stack of test and work prints taking up space in your studio? Not sure what to do with them? Let’s turn them into books!

In this introductory bookmaking workshop you will:

  • Bring a stack of your prints (at least 20) to work with.

  • Be introduced to the Saddle Stitch and Japanese Stab binding, as well as other non-glue based binding techniques.

  • Transform your loose prints into unique books.

Basic materials will be provided.

Workshop limited to 8 participants.

ERIC WILLIAM CARROLL

Eric is an artist making work that combines his interests in science, nature, and the history of photography. Carroll’s work has been shown widely and has been included in exhibitions at the New Orleans Museum of Art, Aperture Foundation and the Museum of Contemporary Photography among others. Carroll has participated in residencies with the MacDowell Colony, Rayko Photo Center and the Blacklock Nature Sanctuary, and was the winner of the 2012 Baum Award for Emerging Photographers. After a nearly decade-long stint as a full-time professor, Carroll relocated to Asheville, North Carolina to focus on his creative practice.
